We are pleased to announce that we have finalized our new curriculum and are now accepting new applications once again. The new requirements are as follows:
COGSCI 700: A new class derived from our seminar series taught by our postdoc. This course will be available beginning in WN 2021.
Three additional classes which must be from at least 2 different disciplinary groups (Computation, Language, Philosophy, Psychology, Neuroscience).
These four courses must be completed for a minimum of 12 credits.
You may review the new requirements and curriculum here. If there is a course that is not listed on our curriculum, but that you believe would be appropriate for your graduate certificate curriculum, you may submit a Course Petition.
**Please be aware: there are also double counting rules for students enrolled in Rackham Masters programs or who have received embedded Masters degrees through their PhD program. You may read more about these considerations here.**
A newly approved course for Fall 2020 is PSYCH 808-007 The Science of Self Control. The course is approved for the Neuroscience, Philosophy, and Psychology discipline groups. Students interested in taking this course may reach out directly to the instructor, Alexandra Rosati.
If you wish to submit an application, please follow the instructions on our website. Otherwise, you may submit any questions or request a meeting with an advisor by emailing cogsci-gradcertificate@umich.
