Impacts on Biostation? George Reserve? Saginaw Woods? I'm not sure, and would hope not. I operate under the assumption that UMBS & other UM holdings are owned by the Regents, not the state. We need a legal opinion or clarification, however.
Aside from the Biostation, this has the potential for serious negative impacts on various types of "protected areas". It seems like very bad policy. I have forwarded this to some colleagues at MI TNC, and ELPC (www.elpc.org) as well.
Short notice. What can/should we do?
Suggestions welcome.
