Biologist:  Human Anatomy or Physiology

Job Description:
  The Department of Natural Sciences at Shawnee State University invites
applicants for a tenure-track position in Biological Sciences at the
Assistant Professor level to begin August 2013. Candidates must have a
doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the study of Human Physiology or
Anatomy. Candidates should have evidence of teaching at the undergraduate
level and the desire to involve undergraduate students in research.
Primary teaching duties include: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology,
cadaver-based Advanced Human Anatomy, and other courses as needed. The
successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness and ability to be
involved in all aspects of the pre-medical program. Other duties include;
institutional, departmental and community service and student advising.

Minimum Qualifications:
  Candidates must have a doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the
study of Human Physiology or Anatomy. Candidates should have evidence of
teaching at the undergraduate level and the desire to involve
undergraduate students in research

Organismal Biologist

Job Description:
  Teaching duties will include General Biology and other courses. Other
potential courses include: Mammalogy, Marine Biology, Animal Behavior, and
Non-Majors Biology. We are seeking a candidate with a broad biology
background with a commitment to undergraduate research. Preference will be
given to those candidates with significant prior teaching experience.
Other duties include institutional, departmental and community service and
student advising.

  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field.
