Texas A&M APT Lecturer Position - Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics

The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applicants for a full-time Academic Professional Track Faculty position at the rank of Lecturer to instruct classes in genetics. This is a non-tenure track position with a 9-month academic appointment with the possibility of renewal annually. The anticipated start date is June 1, 2023, to prepare for teaching for the Fall semester. This position is defined as a teaching position but can include service work by participating on committees as deemed appropriate by the department head. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and an office within the Biochemistry and Biophysics Building at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.

General Duties

Responsibilities for this position include teaching at the undergraduate level, and service to the department, university, and the field of genetics.

Requirements

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in genetics or molecular genetics is required. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with online teaching is desirable. Other experience should include demonstrated excellence in teaching, ability to function in an interdisciplinary program involving faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds, computer and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
