Michigan's Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission

Students for Democracy wanted to provide information about an employment opportunity to apply for Michigan’s Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission:

Some Initial Information:
  • Need to be a Michigan resident
  • Serving on the Commission is a full-time position with a salary at least 25% of the Governor’s salary. If you are employed, your current position is protected while serving.
  • Applications are open until June 1, 2020
  • You would be a part of redrawing the state’s districts - invaluable contribution to the democratic processes that would leave a lasting impact on your community
  • Here is a link to the Secretary of State website with free notary services and demographic information.
