EMBO Workshop - The Evolution of Animal Genomes

The upcoming EMBO workshop on "The Evolution of Animal Genomes" in Granada, Spain will run from June 8th-10th 2020 (registration and asbtract submission deadlines: March 27th 2020). More info below and here: http://meetings.embo.org/event/20-animal-genomes.

We have an exciting line-up of speakers (with a keynote lecture by Mike Levine) that will cover the following topics:
 
- Principles of genomic adaptation
- Evolutionary impact of regulatory variation
- From linear to spatial – The 3D genome
- Transposable elements as drivers of evolution
- Evolution at single-cell resolution
 
Furthermore, the workshop will take place in the beautiful city of Granada, in the south of Spain. This city is particularly known to hold one of the most beautiful examples of Moorish architecture, The Alhambra, a 13th century citadel declared as World Heritage site by the UNESCO.
 
There are travel and childcare grants available as well as ample opportunities for young researchers to present their work (oral communications and poster sessions).
