I have attached posters regarding the programs for your information and outlined a little about who we are below:
Crees is a not-for-profit organisation conducting research into biodiversity, forest regeneration and ecology in the Amazon rainforest in Peru. Since 2002, Crees has worked with a number of partners, including Oxford University in the UK, the Darwin Initiative, San Diego Global Zoo, and Andina University.
Based in the Manu Biosphere Reserve (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), we are part of the largest tropical rainforest biosphere reserve in the world, protecting over 4.5 million acres of land. Over the last 17 years, Crees has conducted research projects into a variety of areas that complement the studies your students are undertaking, including: biodiversity, conservation, ecology and environmental studies.
We have had over 1,700 students and volunteers from all over the world work with us, gaining valuable skills and experience by participating in live projects with professionals in the field. Our research has led to numerous papers being published in journals such as National Geographic, Science Direct and the Journal of Herpetology.
All of our programs would provide your students the chance to contribute towards ongoing research and learn valuable skills, such as: surveys; data recording and analysis; monitoring methods; and impact assessment of our various initiatives.
If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to ask. You can also learn more about us and read testimonials on our website: www.crees-manu.org
