Global Health, Justice, and the Environment Symposium at Wayne State

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming symposium at Wayne State University on Global Health, Justice, and the Environment! WSU’s Office of the Vice President for Research is teaming up with T-RUSTHealthy Urban Waters, and CURES to host this event that will take place on September 10 & 11, 2019.

The conference will focus on the important priorities needed for responding to environmental factors that impact human health, as well as the justice needed to expand beyond access to health care that includes a focus on issues such as air pollution, chemical pollution, water quality, food and drug safety, public health, childhood health and many environmental factors causing health differences. Health justice may provide an important view for understanding environmental and resource struggles around the globe, and may offer opportunities to shape broader global processes. This conference will provide a framework for shaping the critical priorities needed for global health, justice and the environment.

Check out our webpage for information on how to submit abstracts (deadline has been extended) and to learn more about the event. A more complete agenda with plenary speakers is forthcoming.

Feel free to pass this along to anyone who might be interested. We hope to see you all there!
