The Department of Plant Pathology at UC Davis is now recruiting for an Assistant Professor of Teaching. The advertisement is attached. This is a new type of position for us (and UC, in general). These positions used to be called lecturers with security of employment. However, they are now considered full academic senate positions with tenure. While the main position responsibility is teaching there is a requirement for pedagogical research and curricular development. Teaching will be associated with plant pathology and our Global Disease Biology major (http://gdb.ucdavis.edu/). In particular, we are looking for someone to teach epidemiology and disease ecology.
