The Department of Biology at Northeastern Illinois University requests your assistance in identifying qualified candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Organismal Biology to start in Fall 2019.
We seek candidates with an earned doctorate in Biology or a related field. The successful candidate for the position will teach undergraduate courses in general biology, a survey course on a major group of animals, and upper-level and graduate courses in their areas of specialization. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching is required; experience with or a commitment to using and developing innovative teaching methods, and the ability to engage graduate and undergraduate students in research are important. Research and service are also encouraged and expected.
