Position Summary
This is a full time term position with the USFWS, Region 5, Ecological Services Division, New Jersey Field Office, located in Galloway, NJ. As an Environmental Contaminants Biologist you will be responsible for conducting Natural Resources Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR) injury assessments. This position is initially not to exceed one year and one day and may be extended for a total of four years.  
Duties include and are not limited to the following: Serve as a biologist in the Environmental Contaminants program; Evaluate and provide technical assistance within the Service and to other agencies on the effects of environmental contaminants on fish and wildlife species, including endangered species, and appropriate restoration; Represent the Service in meetings, through written correspondence, and in public forums to discuss often controversial and complex projects and issues related to environmental contaminants and natural resources; Prepare objective, scientifically valid reports and other written materials that present findings, identify impacts, and make recommendations pertaining to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources and endangered species. 

Salary
GS-12, $79,239 to $103,011/yr
