Production of I Do Mind Dying began in early 2014, when Detroit’s Water and Sewerage Department, under Emergency Management, announced plans to cut off water to thousands of late-payers. Between 2013-2015, nearly 100,000 homes, many belonging to low income, elderly, long-term Detroiters, were disconnected from service.
