The 2013 Preparing Future Faculty Conference: 'Getting Ready for an Academic Career' will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 11:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. It is designed to help graduate students and postdocs in all fields explore academic careers, strategically navigate a challenging academic job search, and prepare to make a successful transition into a faculty position. Featuring presenters from a wide range of higher education institutions, many of whom were once U-M graduate students, the conference will help participants learn what an academic career entails at many different kinds of colleges and universities. This event is co-sponsored by Rackham Graduate School and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT).
