The AWIS Mentorship Encouragement Group (MEG) provides monthly support for graduate students, post doctoral fellows and junior faculty members. During each meeting, we host three Mentors of the Month (MOMs) who provide advice to participants and share their experiences as women scientists in academia and industry. Our one-hour meetings are informal and typically consist of a brief period for refreshments and speaker introductions followed by small group discussions. In the past, MOMs have offered career advice and addressed issues relating to work/life balance and conflict resolution.
