Dear Colleagues,
This is a great opportunity to work on significant additions to our curriculum, e.g., field-based teaching, inquiry-based laboratories, online teaching, research-based courses. Please think carefully about initiatives based on your own teaching or at the department or program in biology based.

Dear Colleagues:
Dear Colleagues:
Last spring, I charged the Student Learning Advisory Committee with providing recommendations to me and the president regarding the allocation of funding for the student learning component of the Third Century Initiative.
The Transforming Learning for a Third Century (TLTC) grant program aims to fund the most exciting and innovative ideas from across the University of Michigan campus to enhance action-based, experiential learning for U-M student. The program is open to all units and disciplines and includes two grant programs: “Quick Wins” and “Discovery & Transformation”.
On behalf of the Committee, attached please find their TLTC call for proposals. The initial due date for proposals for both grant programs is January 15, 2013.

We look forward to seeing exciting and innovative proposals from across campus.
