Just a reminder that the Library has scheduled training for the NCBI sequence databases for this Thursday and Friday, 10/11 and 10/12. Sessions will be held in the Shapiro Screening Room, on the 2nd floor of the Shapiro Library. You do not need to register in advance for these sessions.
The specific schedule for workshops on these two days is as follows:
10/11 9-noon: Sequences, Genomes, and Maps
10/11 1-4: Proteins, Domains, and Structures
10/12 9-noon: BLAST Services
10/12 1-4: Human Variation and Disease Genes
NOTE: Please bring your own laptops, as there are no computers available in this space. You will need to make sure that the Cn3D package is installed on your laptop; see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
