FROM LIBRARY
In collaboration with the librarians at the Taubman Health Sciences Library, the Science Library is pleased to announce that we will be hosting two days of workshops on the NCBI databases featuring a trainer from the National Library of Medicine. Workshops will run 9-noon and 1-4 on Thursday 10/11 and Friday 10/12; the following offerings will be available:
10/11 9-noon: Sequences, Genomes, and Maps
10/11 1-4: Proteins, Domains, and Structures
10/12 9-noon: BLAST Services
10/12 1-4: Human Variation and Disease Genes
In addition to the official registration-required sessions for this training, I've set up an additional webinar location specifically for graduate students in MCDB and EEB. You can attend these webinar sessions without registering - simply show up at the Screening Room on the second floor of the Shapiro Library at the appropriate date and time. NOTE: you will need to bring your own laptops to these sessions, as they are hands-on workshops and the space that was available is not a computer lab. Please contact me directly if you have questions.
