Are you a mentee in the biomedical, behavioral, clinical or social sciences? Learn more about the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) at a February 8 event featuring Melissa McDaniels, PhD, of Michigan State University.
Dr. McDaniels will lead a panel discussion about the NRMN (https://nrmnet.net/), a nationwide consortium of biomedical professionals and institutions collaborating to provide trainees with evidence-based mentorship and professional development programming. NRMN’s program models emphasize the benefits and challenges of diversity, inclusivity and culture within mentoring relationships, and more broadly the research workforce. The goal of the NRMN is to enhance the diversity of the NIH-funded research workforce.
Dr. McDaniels is Co-Director of the NRMN Master Facilitator Initiative, an Affiliate with the Center for Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research at the University of Wisconsin, and Assistant Dean at the Graduate School and Postdoc Office at Michigan State University.

This event is recommended for early career researchers and investigators. It takes place February 8 from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at Rackham Graduate School Assembly Hall. Light breakfast will be provided.
