Our goal is to recruit and train a diverse group of graduate students with interests in genetic research. Applications are due by Monday, June 12, 2017.Funding will begin on September 1, 2017. The usual term of support is two years. Preference will be given to students starting their second or third year of graduate school in the fall, although we will, on occasion, consider applications from more senior students. We encourage all eligible students to apply. As in previous years, applications should be submitted to your GTP departmental representative. We require a statement of interest that addresses how genetics factors into the student’s planned dissertation research, an NIH Biosketch from each applicant (see attached template), and a letter of recommendation from the advisor (please be sure to state the genetic nature of the proposed dissertation project).Attached to this email is a description of the application process and a blank biosketch form. Additional information about the Genetics Training Program can be found at the following website: http://gtp.med.umich.edu/.
