Volunteers needed: BioBlitz at D-Town Farms

Volunteers needed: BioBlitz at D-Town Farms

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network to conduct a BioBlitz at D-Town Farm on Saturday, May 6, 2017!!

A BioBlitz is a rapid biodiversity assessment that combines taxonomic inventory, public outreach and science education.  For the past 3 years we have been visiting D-Town farms and engaging with youth on exploring the biodiversity there (2016 video).  This year we expect the participation of 80+ youth and we need your help!

Staff, faculty, undergraduate and graduate students are invited to participate. If you are interested in volunteering for the event please fill out this form  by Monday, April 17. Let us know if you have any questions.

Also, feel free to share with anyone who might be interested in participating.

Thank you,
BioBlitz Planning Committee
