We, here in housing are prepared to assist students from Syria or others potentially effected by the travel ban. We are prepared to:
Ensure space is available in housing and can work with them on a payment plan if needed. A dining option can be provided;
Waive the requirement for enrollment if a student wasn't planning to take classes and;
Provide employment opportunities for the summer if they have a desire or need to work.
Their first point of contact should be Jeff Micale in the HIO office. His staff will assist with the housing process and will connect those needing employment to various staff in housing who have student positions available. Jeff is cced on this e-mail and is ready assist.
