Who:    Amory Lovins, Rocky Mountain Institute

What:  “Astonishing Automotive Futures:  Disruptive Designs, Analyses, and Strategies”
Highly evolved measure-by-measure supply curves are a splendid technique for analyzing modest automotive efficiency gains, but understate savings and overstate costs at very high efficiency. Several designs, including (by permission) an unpublished one from RMI’s OEM work, confirm that traditional analyses—such as those used in the Mid-Term Review–make the efficiency design space look less than half as big as it actually is. Recent developments in platform fitness, electrification, and new business models heighten the urgency of competitive pressures to transform automotive strategies, cultures, and practices.

When:  Friday, April 28, 2017Free Pizza at 12:00, Talk 12:15-1:15

Where:  Bob and Betty Beyster Building Room 1670, 2260 Hayward Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (map attached).  Public parking is nearby for the Walgreen Drama Auditorium (1226 Murfin Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48109 for the GPS).  Signage will be present to direct you to the building and room.
