On Friday, January 24, the White House issued an Executive Order that places a 90-day restriction on travel into the US by citizen of Iran, Yemen, Libya and four other countries. This ban poses a significant impact on U-M students from these countries and their families. It has caused extraordinary stress and worry, and disruption of academic work. We ask you to reach out to any student in your programs who may be affected by this restriction and to be alert to difficulties they may be facing, and to make appropriate accommodations. If your students face serious issues as a result of this Executive Order, please contact Assistant Dean John Godfrey, jgodfrey@umich.edu.
