Thesis Research Participation Request

Dear Prospective Study Participant:

My name is Mercedes Anderson and I am a graduate student in Counseling Psychology working under the direction of Dr. Bianca Bernstein at Arizona State University. I am currently conducting a study for my thesis that examines the relationship between support from friends and family and psychological well-being.

In order to participate you must:
1) Be a current graduate student in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics related program (Masters or Doctoral level)
2) Have completed at least 9 credit hours of graduate coursework
3) Be 18 years or older.

The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. You will be asked to complete an online survey that includes questions about demographics, support you receive from friends and family, stress levels, and your general well-being. Your participation is entirely voluntary and all of your responses will be kept confidential. No personally identifiable information will be used in any reports of these data.

As an incentive for your participation, you will be given the option to enter a raffle to win one of ten $20 Amazon gift cards. Participating in the raffle is optional and the e-mail you provide to be contacted with the drawing results will be kept confidential and erased after the drawing.
