Dear Department Chairs, Graduate Chairs, and Graduate Coordinators:

It is my great pleasure to inform you that Rackham Graduate School will be able to provide support for doctoral students, across Rackham programs, for summer courses offered by ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research and SRC Summer Institute in Survey Research Techniques.

The funds are specifically for current doctoral students for whom such courses would significantly contribute to their graduate education. This offer may be used to cover the fees associated with these courses when taken as non‐credit courses. This offer cannot be used for tuition for courses taken for credit.  Specifically, we are able to cover 2/3 of the non‐credit course costs for these courses only if there is department or faculty support covering the remaining 1/3 cost. Tuition costs are not eligible expenses for these funds.

The attached application forms (with March 17 due date) includes a prompt for your students to provide a short code to indicate how the remaining 1/3 of the cost will be covered, if the student is accepted. I hope this program continues to be useful to your students in providing exciting and relevant opportunities to enhance their graduate education.

Peace,
Robin
