Postdoc on ecosystem services

Dear all
Please forward through your respective networks this 3 year post doc opportunity in the Global Development Section, Department of Food and Resource Economics, at the University of Copenhagen to work on quantifying household welfare dependence on ecosystem services in the Greater Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem of Tanzania and Kenya. The post doc will take a core responsibility in implementing central tasks in one work package in the EU Horizon 2020 AfricanBioServices project(http://www.ntnu.edu/biology/african-bio-services).
The Post Doc will be responsible for designing, coordinating and implementing a large scale household survey in districts bordering the Serengeti-Mara national parks in collaboration with Tanzanian and Kenyan research institutions. This includes managing the resulting database and conducting data analysis including multivariate and spatial modelling and future scenario analysis and simulations.
An important aspect of the overall project is integration between the different work packages and subtasks and the Post Doc is expected to closely collaborate with and contribute to the work of other work packages. This includes the work of a bushmeat research group where partners from other work packages with different scientific approaches focus on the ecological impact and socioeconomic importance and drivers of poaching and bushmeat hunting in the Greater Serengeti Mara Ecosystem.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 4th October 2015.
