Tenure-track position: Integrative biology

Integrative Biologist – Assistant Professor.  The Biology Department of Hobart & William Smith Colleges invites applications for a tenure-track position starting July 2014. We encourage applications from integrative and/or systems biologists whose teaching and research blends cellular/molecular biology with organismal/evolutionary biology, with an emphasis on genomics, proteomics, or epigenomics. Responsibilities include teaching courses in introductory biology as well as intermediate and advanced level courses in the applicant's specialty, and contributing to the Colleges' general curriculum. The candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and implement a research program that involves undergraduates.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree by the starting date. Hobart College for men and William Smith College for woman are coordinate residential colleges that share a campus on Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York.  Applicants should send curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy that includes information about potential course offerings, a statement of research interests, official transcripts for all degrees received, and three letters of reference to Dr. Kristy Kenyon, Biology Department, Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY, 14456.
