I think this position might be very attractive to those who seek a position at a teaching-focused institution. I know that the position is quite open in terms of area of focus - the key considerations are that the person would involve undergraduates in research that could be undertaken with modest resources in terms of space and funds, and that they are able to teach the first introductory course in biology (covers biodiversity, ecology, evolution and mendelian genetics).
